More Success Stories

Lexus

Lexus is a 7-year-old white female. Her owner turned her into the shelter thin, eye infections and sores all over, looking like she had only concrete to sleep on. She is now sleeping on a soft bed and starting to look healthier. She is full of LOTS of energy and loves to bark. She is crate-trained and loves to travel.

CoCoa

CoCoa is a 2-year-old female. She was placed in a loving home that has lots of love, time, and experience with bullies.

Tucker (aka Bacon)

Tucker is just awesome — he's a delight to have around, and right now our biggest "problem" is not turning around too fast and tripping over him. He's taken to playing with the kids, and has been their constant shadow from the time they get home until they go to bed at night.

He's also been accepted by the resident "pack leader," my large female Rottie named "Inky." They are still being supervised very closely when together, as this is new to both of them, but things are going better between them than I had hoped this soon. Inky has earned the privilege of being off leash with him, and she has been a true lady to this point — she's even accepted the invitation to play from Tucker. (YEAHHHHHH)

Boo-Boo

This 3-year-old female Mini BT was received from Anti-Cruelty. Success story to follow.

Cheena

I just wanted to let you know that I like my new home very much. My new momma treats me well, except for when she scolds me for sneaking up on the couch and when I eat poop. My momma told me that I'll be starting school soon because I need to fine tune my listening skills. I don't know what that's all about, but I'm sure I'll have fun.

My momma takes me and my new friend Watson (a bloodhound) to all kinds of places. Every weekend we go to this guy's house and we play with Eli — that's his cat. I like Eli, but Eli doesn't like me (yet, that is). You'd be proud of me; they know I'm a good dog.

And as for my new friend Watson, we play all the time! I just love him, except for when he drools all over me. He makes my white fur turn this disgusting yellowish-brown color so my momma has to bathe me. Momma doesn't mind, but I do. Oh, almost forgot, I have two new friends next door, Ralphie and Riley, who come and visit me and we play.

Most of all, I wanted to thank you for providing a temporary home for me. And I'm forever grateful to you for finding me such a GREAT new momma and brother who love me very much and treat me like I'm part of the family.

Thank you,
Cheena

Gracie

Gracie does wonderful with her down-stay — until I wanted to take this picture! She doesn't like water, she won't go out in the rain, and she hates firecrackers. She is starting to ignore Pebbles, the neighbor's dog. Loves to lay down in the flower bed. She is great with the kids and everyone she meets. She sleeps in the car when we are away, and just can't wait to be petted, and petted, and petted. I think she thinks brushing is a treat. Gracie will definetly be growing old with us.

Thanks,
Jean and Jack
